Dr. Herrera-Murillo earned his medical degree and completed his urology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, following a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. His advanced training and expertise have positioned him as a leader in both clinical and surgical urology.

Dr. Herrera-Murillo specializes in laparoscopy, endoscopic procedures, and minimally invasive surgery, including advanced work with the DaVinci XI system for oncology and reconstructive surgery. His scope of practice includes procedures such as Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), robotic prostatectomy, adrenalectomy, cystectomy, partial nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, sacrocolpopexy, and ureteral reconstruction. As a Men’s Health Center of Excellence, he also provides specialized care in men’s health, including placement of three-piece inflatable penile prosthetics for erectile dysfunction.

A respected member of the American Urology Association, the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, and ACTION, a medical mission in Guatemala, Dr. Herrera-Murillo’s work extends beyond his practice to global outreach. He has been recognized with both the Endoscopic Excellence Award and the Robotic Award during his residency. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Herrera-Murillo continues to serve his community with innovation, compassion, and dedication to advancing the field of urology.
